Why animals in dreams are interpreted as people?!

Question:

I am a Muslim man. I noticed that dream interpretation Muslim specialists do interpret animals in dreams as people. I wonder why animals in dreams are interpreted like that?!

Answer 

In several dreams, animals are interpreted as people because the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) interpreted cows in a dream as being Muslim believers.

The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said (translation): 

“I dreamed as if I was in fortified armor, and I saw cows being slaughtered, so I interpreted that the armor is Al-Madina city, and that the cows are a group of people…” (Authentic Hadith- Sahih al-Jamia by Al-Albani. no. 3476).

Nevertheless, animals in dreams could have other meanings too such as Jinn or other meanings that may be determined according to each individual or dream.
