Unseen Dangers Explained – Part 4: Dark Forms and Materials of Magic
14. What are some common forms of magic?
Magic manifests in many disturbing and deceptive forms, many of which are still prevalent today. Below are some of the most well-known and dangerous:
- Ingested Magic (Consumed):
A liquid infused with magical incantations—often mixed with salt water, honey, or other substances—is secretly added to the victim’s food or drink. This is among the most dangerous forms of magic, as it enters the body directly. - Sprinkled Magic (Sprayed):
A cursed liquid is sprayed on doorsteps, walkways, or areas frequented by the victim. This is designed to trap the target through indirect contact. - Written Amulets or Hidden Scripts:
Often involving mysterious symbols, numbers, or bizarre drawings written on materials like paper, cloth, wood, or stone. These are then carefully hidden near the victim’s personal space or home. - Smelled Magic (Incense-Based):
A particularly sneaky and harmful form, where incantations are blown into incense, which is then burned. Sometimes the incense is mixed with cursed liquids or accompanied by papers containing magical text—designed to harm anyone who inhales it. - Applied or Smeared Magic (Oils & Lotions):
This involves cursed liquids being smeared onto a person’s belongings, like the sole of a shoe, so the magic transfers through contact. - Magic via Personal Belongings (Effect-Based):
One of the most widespread and sinister forms—where the magician uses the victim’s clothing, jewelry, photo, or hair to create the magic. These cursed items are often hidden in desolate places like graveyards, ocean floors, wells, or even hung in remote trees.
15. What are some of the disturbing materials used in black magic?
It is deeply unsettling to see the kinds of impure, offensive substances used in this practice—meant to attract devils and increase spiritual harm:
- Impure Blood:
Often taken from animals sacrificed not in the name of Allah, or even menstrual blood (we seek refuge with Allah). This blood is sometimes used in writing the spell or offered to jinn as an act of satanic devotion. In contrast, slaughtering an animal in the name of Allah is one of the known ways of breaking such spells. - Filth and Impurities:
Magicians may use urine, feces, wine, or pork—substances known to be impure in Islam—to attract demonic forces and provoke their cooperation. - Dead Animals:
Body parts, blood, or carcasses of dead animals are sometimes used to store or activate magical spells. - Statues and Figurines:
Magic is sometimes hidden inside animal sculptures, idols, or man-made statues, which are placed inconspicuously in homes or gardens. - Human or Animal Skulls:
Yes, even skulls of deceased humans or animals have been used to store cursed items. - Candles:
Used to invoke or empower specific jinn, often engraved with coded messages or incantations. - Dolls:
These are especially sinister. Magical scripts or cursed items are sometimes hidden inside children’s dolls or decorations. Most people never suspect them.
16. What are “Talismanic Symbols” (Talismans)?
Talismans (pl. of talisman) are strange symbols, lines, letters, or numbers that often appear in written spells. Their meanings are not understood by ordinary people; they are meant to communicate with specific devils. These symbols are deeply offensive and dangerous.
17. What is “Lower Magic” (As-Sihr As-Sufli)?
This term can refer to several shameful types of magic:
- Buried or Hidden Magic:
Spells hidden underground, in graveyards, in the sea, or in other low places—hence the term “lower.” - Filthy Magic:
Spells created using unclean, impure materials—such as menstrual blood or by desecrating Qur’anic verses (we seek Allah’s protection!). - Magic Empowered by the Lowest of Devils:
This is magic that relies on the most wicked and rebellious jinn—those considered the lowest and most corrupt among the devils.
Each of these forms of lower magic is a disgraceful act of rebellion against Allah and a severe threat to innocent lives.
