Learn Dream Interpretation Step by Step – Lesson 2: What Can You See, Hear, and Feel in a Dream?

Introduction:
We continue this rare and valuable series on learning Islamic dream interpretation step by step—from the basics to an advanced level. In today’s lesson, we will discuss the different things a person may experience during sleep and classify them into well-defined categories. Understanding these categories will help you build a strong foundation for interpreting dreams accurately.

What Are the Things a Person May Experience During Sleep?

1. Visuals: Seeing humans, animals, plants, inanimate objects, and various scenes.

2. Actions: Engaging in or observing actions such as eating, walking, flying, escaping, and so on.

3. Sounds: Hearing voices of people, animals, natural sounds, music, or other audible elements.

4. Smells: Experiencing pleasant or unpleasant odors.

5. Tastes: Sensing sweetness, bitterness, sourness, or other taste-related sensations.

6. Emotions and Physical Sensations: Feeling love, hatred, joy, pain, fear, and other emotional or physical states.

7. Thoughts and Internal Awareness: Experiencing mental activity, such as thinking about something, arriving at conclusions, or realizing ideas—without necessarily speaking or acting in the dream.

8. Unremembered Content: Having dreams that are completely or partially forgotten upon waking. A person may sense that they dreamed something but retain no details, or they may only recall a general idea without remembering any specific events or imagery.
